The 17th Infantry Association, in partnership with the City of Pasadena, is proud to honor Lieutenant Colonel Raymond G. Harvey, Medal of Honor recipient, lifelong patriot, and proud Buffalo whose courage and leadership exemplified the very best of the United States Army.
 
On Medal of Honor Day — March 25, 2026, the City of Pasadena will dedicate a commemorative plaque honoring LTC Harvey, with the support of the Buffaloes. This date is especially meaningful, as it is reserved each year to recognize those whose extraordinary acts of valor rose far above the call of duty. It is a fitting moment to permanently honor a soldier whose legacy continues to inspire Buffalos and Americans alike.
 
LTC Harvey embodied the Buffalo spirit of Truth & Courage. His actions in combat, his devotion to his fellow soldiers, and his lifelong commitment to service stand as a powerful reminder of what it means to lead with integrity, selflessness, and resolve. As one of the most highly decorated soldiers in U.S. Army history, his story deserves to be preserved and shared for generations to come.
